Exclusive: Views, cafes and luxury living. The prestige Neutral Bay apartments selling faster than houses!
By ANNA USHER.
It’s a ground-breaking luxury development that’s notched up $14 million in sales in just seven days – and it’s not even on the market yet.
A unique collection of 25 residences, Premier Place is positioned on the tree lined streets of Neutral Bay, offering spectacular city skyline views. And, over the next few weeks, Avnu Founder Michael Coombs expects half of them to be sold.
Aimed squarely at well-heeled buyers, prestige developer Podia will deliver the collection of immaculately crafted homes, elevating the idea of apartment living to incredible new levels.
“Neutral Bay has come a long way in the past few years,” Coombs says, “and although it’s now considered a lifestyle hub, the suburb is full of dated stock when it comes to property.”
Premier Place, Coombs says, is a visionary concept that offers the rare luxury of architecturally designed, free standing homes - within one understated building.
“The prestige end of the market has just been waiting for something like this to come along.”
That position was validated last week, when Coombs invited a number of key clients to exclusively view the development, ahead of its official launch in September.
“I sold five of them on the spot, and more will be locked away in the next few weeks,” Coombs revealed today.
“Buyers are hungry for a quality product that redefines apartment living.
“Premier Place sets a new bench mark for Neutral Bay, providing the very best of Sydney living in a leafy, foreshore village.”
Architects Alex Phegan and Rob Woodward, from ess Lifestyle, say the white brick and glass building will be softened by a green canopy created by William Dangar, designed to transform as it grows into a “living work of art.”
“Timeless design demands a refined material palette, expressed through the classic beauty of brick, glass and concrete to blend elegance and craftsmanship,” Alex says.
“Over time, the layers of this building will unfold, continually evoking the luxury of space, light and architectural form.”
Leading design firm Richards Stanisich has been given creative freedom by Podia developer Michael Grassi, to create unambiguously stunning residences that reflect a perfect balance of proportion and form.
“We’re confident there’s no other project with this palette,” Grassi says, “we’ve worked very hard to create something new and timeless.”
With the threat of changes to negative gearing and capital gains now firmly in the rear-view mirror, local agents like Michael Coombs are embracing the flow of good news for the property sector.
“They grey cloud has lifted, and the phones are ringing,” Coombs says, “with no more uncertainty about who is leading the country, people have renewed confidence.”
Premier Place is due for completion in 2021. Apartments range in price from mid-1m to mid-4m.
