A Lane Cove woman has been charged with mid-range drink driving TWICE in one day.

Police were conducting random breath tests on the Pacific Highway in Artarmon last night, when the woman was pulled over at 11:10pm. 

Her nine-year-old boy was also travelling inside the vehicle.

It is alleged the woman, who was driving a white Mini Cooper, ignored police directions to stop before eventually coming to a halt about 50 metres past the site.

A roadside breath test returned a positive result and the woman was arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station, where she returned an alleged reading of 0.128.  

At around 4:20am this morning (Wednesday 6th March), police were patrolling the Pacific Highway in Lane Cove when they noticed a white Mini Cooper driving in a northerly direction.

Attempting to stop the vehicle, police say the driver proceeded through a red traffic light, before coming to a stop in Osborne Rd, Lane Cove. The woman was again breath tested, arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station, where she returned a reading of 0.086.

The woman has been charged with two counts of drink driving, one count of driving while suspended, one count of resisting arrest and proceeding through a red traffic light.

She will appear in Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday 27th March.

On Sunday 3rd March, Police conducted an operation at a North Sydney music event, targeting illegal drugs.

A 28-year-old man from Bondi Junction was searched, and found to be in possession of more than 115 pills, believed to be MDMA, police will allege.

The male was arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station, where he was charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug. He was granted conditional bail and will appear before Manly Court later this month.

Gun + knives + cash found

Around 11:10pm Monday 4th March, police were patrolling Alfred Street South, Milsons Point, when they stopped a white Mercedes sedan and spoke to the occupants, a 26-year-old man from Roseville and a 31-year-old man from Merrylands.

After speaking with the two men, police searched the vehicle and will allege they located a silver handgun, a large sum of cash, three flick knives, a bag containing tablets (believed to be a restricted substance) - and drug use paraphernalia. 

The two males were arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station.

Both have been charged with a range of offences, including possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a knife and dealing in the proceeds of crime. More charges are expected to be laid as investigations continue.
