BREAKING: Mosman Swim Centre coach hit with 28 new charges over alleged sexual abuse of SIX more girls.
A Mosman swim coach has been hit with 28 new charges involving the alleged sexual abuse of six more girls – aged between six and 10 – during lessons at Mosman Swim Centre.
Police allege Kyle James Henk Daniels sexually molested the girls on separate occasions at the Vista St pool, between June 2018 and March 2019.
The charges include eight counts of sexual intercourse with child under 10, six counts of intentionally sexually touch child under 10 years, and 14 counts of indecent assault.
It’s now alleged Daniels sexually abused a total of eight girls in and around the pool used for swimming lessons.
He faces a total of 31 charges.
Daniels was arrested earlier this month and charged with sexually abusing two girls, aged six and eight, on separate occasions.
Police allege the first sexual assault took place at the pool on February 2.
The Knox Grammar school ex-student is accused of raping the second girl - aged eight - less than two weeks later, on Febraury 14.
Daniels had been an instructor at Mosman Swim Centre for two years, Detective Superintendent John Kerlatec told reporters today.
“These young brave kids put their hands up to Mum and Dad and said, ‘something happened’,” Det. Supt Kerlatec said.
“That is exceptionally brave.”
Daniels denies the charges. He was granted bail at Manly Local Court.
