A statement released by CEO Mitchell Waugh confirms that a three-year management deal between PHMG and The Buena has recently concluded, with the company now focussed on a makeover of its flagship Woollahra Hotel, scheduled for completion early next year.

This will be followed by a refurbishment of Paddington's popular Royal Hotel, in the second half of 2019.

"Having met the mandate to bring the Fallon family into the fold ... pub industry veteran Mitchell Waugh has decided not to renew the contract," the company website states.

“We are tremendously proud of what we have achieved in re-establishing The Buena as the heart of the community and fulfilling our brief to introduce the Fallon family to the hospitality industry,” Waugh said.

PHMG launched Bistro Moncur in Mosman in 2016, with the Public House website confirming that an “all new dining concept will reportedly be announced in coming weeks.”
