That’s right folks! The silly season is here, which means Christmas lunch is just around the corner. So before you grab the festive edition of Delicious magazine and beg your Aunty to make her famous trifle, why not consider heading out with the family to one of Mosman’s fabulous restaurants?
Whether pork crackling, poached lobster, roast turkey, or antipasto is more your style, our local dining venues have your taste buds covered on Christmas Day. A word of warning though, some venues are already booked out (Public Dining Room, Chiosco and Ormeggio just for starters) - so start making plans pronto!
The Bathers’ Pavilion
You’re spoilt for choice at The Bathers’ Pavilion, with a festive brunch happening earlier in the day, followed by a number of different lunch options - in the restaurant, café and the terrace.
As always, this iconic restaurant will be one of the busiest in Sydney on December 25, so it's advisable to make a reservation now, to ensure you're not left high and dry (not to mention hungry!) on Christmas Day!
Enjoy Christmas Day dining with Bistro Moncur’s 5 course degustation menu.
Starting with Amuse Bouche and a drink upon arrival, you will be treated to a memorable meal, showcasing the very best that Moncur has to offer.
At $350 per person, it doesn't come cheap - but you can expect nothing but the finest festive cuisine in a sophisticated setting.
Expect glazed ham with sausage stuffing and trusty French sides like cauliflower gratin and confit potatoes.
Despite the European roots, there is a distinctly Australian twist on the Yule log dessert, made this year with mango and passionfruit.
Ripples Chowder Bay
Enjoy a relaxed, festive meal with friends and family overlooking picturesque Chowder Bay.
The 4 course Christmas Day menu promises to serve up an iconic view over Sydney Harbour, along with house made bread, stunning split prawns - and a traditional pork tenderloin as the main event!
4 course set menu: $195 per person and $95 per child (under 12 years).
Sittings available from 11.30am.

We're told the "Feasting Menu" is $150 p.p - and includes a premium wine and craft beer package (no other details at this stage).

Plonk Beach Café
Christmas lunch just wouldn't be the same without pork crackling and pavlova - and the good news is that Plonk! Beach Café has you covered.
This relaxed, low key venue is perfect for young families (with plenty of space to run around!) and this year there's a special festive children's menu, with chicken schnitty, fish & chips and chocolate mousse just a few of the offerings (if you're 12 years or under).
For adults and bigger kids, a beautiful, 3 course lunch overlooking Middle Harbour will set you back $180 per adult (the kids menu is $65 p.p)
Two sittings are available: 11am-2pm or 2.30pm-5.30pm.
Our friends at the Mosman Club are providing a budget friendly Christmas lunch for Members in the Main Bar this year, at just $50 p.p. Payment is required at the time of booking - and the last day for Reservations is Wednesday, December 20.
Aqua Dining, Milsons Point
